The Origin Home for Children LLC is a ten-bed residential treatment center dedicated to serving boys ages 8 to 14 who have been diagnosed with emotional disturbances, intellectual disabilities, and autism spectrum disorder. We offer a structured, nurturing environment where each child receives individualized, 24-hour therapeutic care tailored to their unique needs. Our comprehensive program includes individual and group therapy, life skills training, recreational activities, and integrated health care services, all designed to support emotional, social, and behavioral development. At Origin Home, we are committed to helping every child build the skills and confidence needed to grow into a well-adjusted, productive adult.

About the Founder: A Lifelong Commitment to Children with Special Needs
Born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts, and a proud product of the Boston Public School system, with a B.A. in psychology and an M.A. in counseling, the founder of Origin Home for Children LLC has dedicated her life to serving children with special needs. With a career that began within the very school system she once attended, she eventually found her calling in special education, where she has remained for over 25 years.
Her journey through education has been deeply rooted in compassion, advocacy, and a commitment to equity. She has worked extensively with emotionally disturbed youth, children with intellectual disabilities, and those diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. As a resident of an inner-city community, she has personally witnessed the unique challenges faced by under-resourced youth, particularly those living with disabilities. These early life experiences planted the seeds for a lifelong mission: to make a tangible difference in the lives of vulnerable children.
Stephanie has held a wide array of roles within the educational and mental health sectors, including guidance paraprofessional, special education teacher, adaptive behavior teacher, and structured learning instructor for long-term classroom vacancies. She has also served as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) supervisor, behavior specialist counselor, and special education counselor. Throughout her career, she has worked closely with children from group homes, developing a deep understanding of their complex emotional and behavioral needs.
The inspiration for Origin Home for Children LLC was born out of Stephanie’s unwavering desire to do more. After decades of working in schools and directly supporting children in crisis, she recognized a need for a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic home environment tailored specifically for children with emotional and developmental challenges. While she humbly acknowledges that she cannot save the entire world, she believes that changing the life of even one child—one day at a time—is a mission worth dedicating her life to. For Stephanie, this is not just a career; it is a calling.
